Noetia is much more than fashion: The Berlin label of Anna Franziska Michel and Rio Sierra is conceptual design, data visualization and modern tailoring. Noetia combines asymmetrical cuts, geometric shapes and computer-generated fabric patterns to create extraordinary garments. Pants, shirts and blouses clearly show the handwriting of the designer, whose work reached the final round of the “New Blood Design Award” in 2014. In addition to clothing, Noetia organises panel discussions on fashion-related topics and deals with the visualisation of individual data that are incorporated into designs for very personal garments. A very innovative approach with exceptional results.
Sporty and elegant
The pieces from the “Trees” collection presented here are sporty and elegant. The shirts are asymmetrically cut, have a high collar and shortened sleeves. The wide trousers with elastic waistband are casual and comfortable. The prints are generated on the computer from photos of trees and develop their very own style. To the pieces I wear a gold-coloured harness and a wide necklace by the Spanish jewelry designer Jon Mármol, which together with the golden Stan Smith sneakers add some colour to the outfit. I am looking forward to further creative ideas from the forge of Noetia.
