VinoKilo is vintage shopping, street food, wine, music and a real adventure event! For several years the team around Robin Balser has been touring Germany and Benelux, bringing second-hand clothes by the kilo to stylish fashion lovers.
VinoKilo: stylish second-hand fashion and sustainability
The idea is explained quickly: There are plenty of unused clothes that are far too good to throw away! Especially among the vintage parts there are often quite extraordinary pieces that have their own style. Fashion and sustainability – it works at VinoKilo! With good wine, cool music and a relaxed atmosphere, the clothes, shoes and accessories are put into the shopping bags, weighed at the end and can be taken home at a price per kilo of 20.00 Euros. To enable a constantly changing range and a large variety of attractive garments, the clothes racks are constantly filled with new vintage parts. So it’s worth spending time at a VinoKilo PopUp event. Selected wines and various food trucks, lounges and DJs make your stay a real event. The makers of VinoKilo obtain their clothes from a trading partner in Holland, who purchases the second-hand fashion in containers from Canada, the USA and Scandinavia. Everyone will surely find what they are looking for!
I shopped a cool vintage cowboy look at VinoKilo in Cologne: The jeans shirt with leather trimming immediately gave me a look in my head: something trashy, 90s and casual oversize. The light Levi´s jeans with straight leg and a crease were added. I combined the vintage clothes with a great cowboy hat made of straw from Stetson. The Smoky Toyo is not vintage, but it complements my VinoKilo look perfectly.
